Just haven't had much to say, except the sewing post from last week.
Oh, yeah, on the subject of sewing, I've been looking at sewing machines, because when my parents retire, they're going to move back to South Carolina. The sewing machine belongs to my mother, so I had assumed that it would go with her to South Carolina.
Well, I was with Mom in Sam's Club (wholesale thing) the other day, and I got sidetracked by a sewing machine they had on display. When I caught back up to Mom and mentioned what I'd been looking at and why, she said, "Oh, don't worry about it. You can have my machine; you use it more than I do anyway. If I start sewing again, I'll just buy myself a new one."
So huzzah! I don't have to find the money for a new sewing machine, nor do I have to learn to use something different!
(Although I REALLY liked the Husqvarna-Viking machine with the electric speed control, because of my lead-foot tendencies with the machine pedal. Maybe someday I can justify spending $449 on a Viking machine.)
