Speaking of whom, I haven't heard anything new about Mini-Me recently. How's she doing?

She's doing okay. She still has seizures occasionally and she has to be really careful about taking the anti-seizure meds to control them. But she's back in school and doing well, so hopefully this whole seizure mess hasn't fouled up her 9th grade year. It has fouled up her plans to get her learner's permit and learn to drive but that's actually kind of a relief to me. A little reprieve before she as to face the idiots out there on the roads. You can get a learner's permit if you're epileptic, but you have to have your seizures under control and not be having them any more. I think you have to be free of seizures for at least six months before you can get your permit. She's a little disappointed about that; she really wanted to learn to drive. But she'll live.

That's good to hear that she's not having too much trouble with it. Have they even got an idea of the cause? that's got to be very frustrating. But hopefully with medication she won't have to deal with it much any more. That's really scary. I shudder to think what it would be like if Baz had that happen. *hugs*

No, the neurologists have run every test imaginable and no idea as to why she's having the seizures, but it looks like the medication is controlling them fairly well although they're still experimenting a little to find the right dosage for her.

It's scary but you'd deal if something (heaven forfend) like this ever happened to your little guy. You'd haul his butt to the doctor and try to figure it out and march on.

I'm sorry I haven't been available to talk lately. I've been working so much, and today when you called I was in Daytona at a show. By the time I got home it was late and I'm getting ready to crash as we speak. I'll try and give you a call sometime soon, but work's really kicking my ass. My next day off is next sunday, so...
