Another update on Mini-me

Well, she made it through school yesterday, but didn't go today because she had a spell at home at about 5 this morning. We're going to put her on homebound until we figure out what's wrong with her and fix it; otherwise she'll fall behind in school and have to repeat the year.

Yeah, we are. We just don't want her to fall behind in school. She's already a year older than everybody else anyway because of when her birthday falls.

George is the oldest boy in his year, and that is to his advantage! If you're worried talk to the teachers, they could pass on some work if necessary, but as Ladysmith says, getting well is more important than passing exams!
I think you'll worry less when the tests are done, and you know more!

I'm so sorry—simply having a teenager is uproar enough.

I don't have much else to share but this—sheralyn, who is one of the mods at Phoenix Song, went through something very similar with her daughter last year. Perhaps she could share some resources with you?

Yeah, but I don't want her to have to repeat the ninth grade if we can avoid it. Homebound instruction will bring her her assignments at home and she can do them and the homebound teacher will take them back to school for her, and bring her tests out to her and everything.
