Oh, and as a complete non sequitur, insomnia sucks swamp water, especially when you have a boatload of errands that MUST be taken care of in the morning.
The alternator in my car died, and dragged my battery down with it, so I have to go get replacement parts and the correct tools and pray to all that's holy that Tiff and Tony (friends of mine who know WAY more about cars than I do) can actually get to the silly thing and replace it. The battery is easy; the alternator is underneath a couple of other structures in my engine compartment and is going to be a pain in the arse to reach, because the other things have to be moved out of the way without screwing up anything else.
For the last two nights, I've been DEAD tired but could not for love nor money fall asleep; last night I gave up and took some Nytol. I don't have that option tonight because I have to be up in the morning to get car parts so that the work can be done (hopefully) before it's blistering hot outside.
