Emotional roller coaster

That's what the last few days have been.

Nicholas and I had a talk an hour or so ago and we're back together. He's about two feet from me now, here in the computer room. I guess where there's love and communication, anything is possible.

I feel a lot better now. Thanks for the hugs.

ETA: Oh, in "happy list" news, my mother is going to pay my guitar out of layaway as an early birthday present to me. (My birthday is in January.) So thanks, Mom.

No, as a matter of fact, I don't have a point.

Well, I'm finally starting to feel better. My throat is still a bit sore and my voice is scratchy and I'm still coughing a little but not as much.

I was sitting on the back steps smoking a cigarette and saw the neighbor girl goofing around with (I assume) her boyfriend. (I assume he's her boyfriend because the goofing around involved some kissing.) I need to rediscover my sense of silliness and fun like that. I can't remember the last time I did something that silly and fun.

The guys want me to cook smothered pork chops and they decided they want greens to go with the pork chops. I don't know how to cook greens because I don't really like cooked greens, so I emailed my mom begging for help.

Well, I guess I'll close off for now.

Rambling some more

Tomorrow I need to go to the Family and Children's Services office and apply for food stamps. I should qualify, based on my income.

I also need to call the SSI people and fuss at them so I can start getting SSI, because my lawyer says I'm entitled to it.

I got more confusing mail from the government today. I swear, they try to confuse you so you don't know what the hell is going on. Apparently my Medicare part D premium will be paid for me because I'm sufficiently low-income, which is nice. It's not that expensive, but every little bit helps.
